VICTORIA RIVER ROADHOUSE – NT

Travelling from Timber Creek to Victoria River Roadhouse we saw the most amazing escarpment. We decided to stay at the iconic Victoria River Roadhouse nestled below the Victoria River escarpment.

Having stopped here last year to refuel ⛽️ we saw that there was a caravan park out the back. So we went and did a quick walk🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️ through and put it on our list of places to stay next time around.

We arrived around 2 pm and were able to pick our own reasonably level site. At the time of our arrival there were already several rigs parked up and by the evening it was quite busy🏕🚌🚐🚍🚕🏕.

This area has had a very dry ‘wet season’. So be prepared for some dust 😉🌪. Yes it’s very dry and dusty but the views towards the escarpments are just amazing. Especially at sunset and sunrise.

👉For 2 adults with power and water it was $30🔌🚰
👉Pet friendly 🐶
👉Amenity block – It’s old but very clean
👉Dump point🚽
👉Fuel⛽️
👉Cafe/restaurant/bar ☕️🍻🍔
👉Walking trail which takes you to the river 🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️
👉Awesome sunrise 🌞 (video coming soon)

👉👉No Telstra or TV reception (for us anyway)📵

Looking forward to our next stop in the NT.🙌

Safe travels everyone.
