Flaggy Rock, Queensland – Almost Free Camping

A great in-between stop if your heading North in Queensland is the Flaggy Rock Community Centre. It’s just a short distance from the Bruce Highway and is well worth the $15 per night. We spent a night and really enjoyed the relaxed feel the site has.

Other Amenities

It does not include power or water BUT you get the use of the swimming pool, toilets and hot bore water showers. There is a great little under cover area where you can recharge phones, Ipads etc on a power board supplied by the centre and buy some of the local preserves.

Beautifully grassed green grounds for parking and very peaceful. The night we stayed there were only a few others who arrived. The site also houses the local community centre and the old Flaggy Rock School house. Thanks to the lovely caretakers who welcome you in and take such good care of the grounds.
