Safety While Travelling

Christmas is over and we are getting a little excited as it’s getting closer for us to take off on our next journey around Oz. In preparation we decided to update our First Aid qualifications. You never know when you might need these skills. It’s a comfort to know that we are prepared should something happen without immediate help close by. Thankfully we did not need any of this attention on our previous lap and hopefully won’t again. But you never know when you may need to help other travellers or anyone for that matter in need.

Things have changed so much in regards to CPR and even attending to a snake bite. It’s a real eye opener to get this under you belt before you travel.

We also travel with a couple of First Aid Kits, (one in the car and one in the van) an EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) UHF Radio and Mobile Phones. And yes we always make sure that everything is charged up before we leave. It’s something we are very conscious of while travelling. Of course you can always charge the phone in the car.

Ok have we left anything out? Let us know what you travel with.

Well that’s enough for now.
