Bullara Station – WA

We always look forward to station stays and Bullara Station lived up to all our expectations and more. Bullara Station Stay has been on our list of ‘must do’s’ and earmarked well before we started on this leg of our adventure.

Bullara Station is located between Coral Bay and Exmouth and gives you a true feeling of what it’s like to be on a working cattle station in the North West of Western Australia. Yet it’s close enough to enjoy everything the Coral Coast, North West Cape and Exmouth Gulf have to offer.

This is a third generation run cattle station and Edwina and Tim very easily make you feel welcome along with the great camp hosts. We would like to say a big thanks for the warm welcome from Pauly, Macca, Damper John and Craig.

Before travelling further north on the day we left the Station, we enjoyed fresh homemade scones with jam and cream and a delicious barista coffee at the Homestead’s café area which is open daily from 8.30 am till 12.00 pm.

• Bullara Station has all sorts of accommodation and is open from Easter till the end of October.
• Barista take-away coffee available from 8.30 am till 4 pm daily.
• Powered and bore water sites. The water is fine for domestic use, but you need to bring your own drinking water. $38 for two Adults – check their website for other rates including unpowered camp sites and cottages
• Awesome very clean unisex alfresco wood fired HOT showers
• Dump point
• Laundry
• Camp Kitchen
• FREE damper with Damper John at 5pm ‘Happy Hour’ – BYO drinks and enjoy chatting with the camp hosts and other travellers
• Pet friendly – pet sitting only available during school holidays for a fee
• Telstra reception

Besides the above you can enjoy exploring Bullara Station by following the designated walking tracks and mingle with the farm animals. Make sure you pop into the Shearing Shed and check out its history. The station also has access to a special corner of the Exmouth (Bullara) Gulf if you feel like a bit of fishing.

Thanks everyone at Bullara Station, we will certainly return.
