Deciding to travel around Australia in a motorhome or caravan can be quite daunting for those of us who are raw to caravanning life. There are so many things to take into consideration. What type of caravan and towing vehicle are we going to buy? Do we rent our home or not? How long are we planning to travel? Where do we go first? What’s free camping all about? Do we only stay in caravan parks? Anyway you get the idea and these were just a few of the questions we kept asking each other over many months.
After a lot of researching and discussions we bought a Grand Cherokee Jeep and Jayco Silverline Outback and have been travelling now for 3 years. We have completed two and half laps of Oz. At this moment in time we are home because of COVID-19 but intend to be back on the road again when the borders open completing a 3rd lap which will include Tasmania.
